Shield Zumo for Arduino - V1.3

The Zumo Shield is an interface between a Zumo chassis and Arduino Uno (or Leonardo). The shield mounts directly to the chassis and is connected to motors, battery terminals and expose headers to plug an Arduino Uno (face down) on the top of the shield. The shield (this product) have all the necessary electronics to power the motors and useful components for a robot such as a buzzer for sounds, a compas, a 3-axis accelerometer and a gyroscope. This complete IMU allow to orientation tracking as well as impact detection.

With the Zumo Shield and an Arduino, the Zumo chassis becomes a low-profile tracked robot having 10 cm long on each side (Mini-Sumo competitions ready). It works with a variety of micro metal gearmotors (user can select the appropriate combination of torque and speed). A stainless steel sumo blade can also be screwed on the chassis when pushing around other objects is required. Thanks to Pololu, Arduino libraries and examples code are available for getting your Zumo up and running.

Included components

The Zumo Shield ships with all of the components required for shield assembly, as shown in the main product picture.
Note that soldering is required; please see the user’s guide for detailed assembly instructions.
