M5-MOD-SERVO2
Servo module for M5Stack
In stock
Availability date:
SERVO 2 is stackable module for M5Stack Core series. The SERVO 2 module is designed to control up to 16 Servo motors. This module is based on the famous PCA9685, a 16 channel PWM controller can be used to control up to 16 servos at the same time.
The power input is 6 to 12V DC and two buffy SY8368AQQC chips do reduce the voltage to the proper voltage.
The maximum total power output of dual channel is 35W (5V * 3.5A * 2) and the maximum output power of single channel is 25W peak (5V * 5A).
When the power supply is provided with batteries then the maximum output power is 5V * 2A.
The SERVO 2 module communicates with the host via the I2C bus (default address 0x40, can be changed from 0x40 - 0x47 with the addresses switch). As the address of the module can be changed, it is possible to stack several SERVO 2 module and used simultaneously (each module must have a distinct address).
The SERVO 2 do have a power switch to control the power supply of Servo 2.
An external power supply must be used to power the module, just plug it on the XT60 connector able to carry a lot of power. When using the AXP192 power management chip's main control (such as CORE2), the M-BUS power mode needs to be configured as input when the program is initialized.
This product is great for projects like Humanoid robot, Bionic multi joint robot, 3-axis steering gear pan tilt.
