8 bits parallele-to-serial converter

Living in the 8-bits shift category, this chip is the complementary of the 74HC164.

Thee 74HC165 can be used to acquire 8 bits from a parallel bus (like a data bus) then serialize them over a serial line.

The 74LS165 can be used for the following applications:

Sending/TX circuitry of a serial link (from a 8 bit data-bus to a serial connexion)
8 additional inputs by using only 2 pins on the microcontroler.
