Accurate voltmeter grove module 0-36V DC
The Voltmeter Unit can measure and monitor voltage in real time. At the heart, we have the famous ADS1115 with is a 16-bitanalog-to-digital converter. The ADS1115 can communicate with the host by using the I2C bus (0X49).
An internal DC-DC isolated power supply is used to ensure a high analog accuracy. The I2C bus is also protect by an electric low-power isolator (CA-IS3020S).
The isolator and DC-DC converter do also prevents noise and surge to reach the I2C bus and host microcontroler. This will also avoids sensitive components to be damaged by interference and noise on ground line.
Each unit is calibrated at factory and calibration data are stored into the EEPROM. The initial accuracy of 0.1%FS, ±1 count, and a maximum measurement voltage of ~36V.
The I2C EEPROM at address 0x53 contains the calibration parameters. Please do not write to the EEPROM, otherwise the calibration data will be overwritten and the measurement results will be inaccurate.
This module must be powered with 5V to ensure proper operation. But the I2C bus SDA/SCL lines are in 3.3V logic. This module can be used with 3.3V microcontroler like ESP32, Pico, Pyboard, M5Stack core, Raspberry.
