ESP32 with external antenna, Ethernet and POE capability
ESP32-PoE is based on the powerful ESP32-WROOM-32UE offering WIFI/BLE connectivity associated to an Ethernet connector + Power-Over-Ethernet feature.
It is a great development board with lot of advanced connectivity for projects requiring them.
Having PoE feature allows the project to be powered from the Ethernet connection (if he is PoE capable). The board takes power from the Ethernet cable and can be expanded with sensors and more. Perfect solution for Internet-of-Things projects.
The PoE is managed by TPS2375PW chip that is IEEE 802.3-compliant, including pre-standard (legacy) PoE support.
The PoE requires at least 37V DC to operate successfully.
ESP32-POE does not have galvanic isolation from Ethernet's power supply!
The Ethernet cable should be disconnected when programming the board via the micro USB connector (if you have power over the Ethernet cable)!
You can also use an USB-ISOLATION (like Olimex USB-ISO) to protect your computer and board from accidental short circuit.
The Olimex ESP32-PoE-ISO is a variant of this product already containing the required isolator.
This product is the ESP32-POE-EA-IND meaning:
