This high quality sensor is used to measure the horizontal "wind direction".
This professional meteorological instrument integrates a hall sensor inside able to detect and returns the wind direction among the 16 azimuths natural wind directions (360°/16=22.5° for each direction).
The shell and weather vane are made with aluminum alloy cast down into a precision mold. The results into a small tolerance on dimension and very good/smooth surface. The high precision manufacturing results into a high precision instrument widely used in meteorology, ocean, environment, airports, ports, laboratories, industry, agriculture, and transportation.
The sensor's internal circuit is PROTECTED inside the sensor. This sensor offers high strength, weather resistance, anti-corrosion and -off course- waterproofing. The high quality cable connector adopts a corrosion-resistant military plug for long service life and results stability.
The wind vane have low-inertia so it can react quickly to wind direction. When the wind direction changes, the tail wing rotates and drives the axis magnet over the hall sensor offering an accurate wind direction information.
