PRO pH sensor kit - industrial grade probe

This is an Analog pH meter pro V2 using an industrial pH probe. This kit can be used to measure the pH of the solution pH. The pH is a number between 0 to 14 and is an indicator of alkalinity (from 14 down to 8), neutrality of water (7) and acidity (6 down to 0).

pH measurement is commonly used in aquaponics, aquaculture and environmental water testing.
The pH is also very important caracteristic of aqueous solution used in medicine, industrial process, chemistry and agriculture.

This second version of pH meter pro greatly improves the precision. The onboard voltage regulator supports supply voltages from  3.3 to 5.5V. This kit is compatible with MicroControler logic of 5V or 3.3V (Arduino, Pyboard, LattePanda, etc). The output signal is filtered by hardware and have a low jitter.

The software library use two point caliibration with a pH buffer solution at 4.0 and 7.0 (it automatically detect the buffer solution used). This sensor is simple and convenient.

Based on industry pH combination electrode which is made of sensitive glass membrane (with low impedance electrode) offers a standard connexion. Its long life, range of PH measurements, fast response, good thermal stability makes it suitable for online monitoring.

Its industrial grade ensure a good reproducibility, difficult to hydrolysis and basically eliminates the alkalin error.

The output voltage of the electrode is linear for the Ph range 0 to 14 pH. The reference system uses Ag/AgCl gel electrolyte salt bridge has a stable half-cell potential and ensure an excellent anti-pollution performance.

The ring PTFE membrane is not easy to be clogged, so the electrode is suitable for long-term online detection.

This product can be used with a microcontrôler (Arduino, Pyboard, PYBStick, etc) to creates an industrial grade pH Meter. Thank to the software library (Arduino), it is easy to quickly creates a solution without using an iron. Just plug the sensor and the board and you are ready to go.

The measured pH value indicates whereas the solution have acidity or alkalinity. This measurement is also called hydrogen ion concentration index. The pH is a scale of hydrogen ion activity in solution.

Before measuring another solution, be sure to wash the probe and absorb residual water-drops with paper to prevent cross-contamination between solutions. The probe can be washed with distilled water.

Handle with care

  1. The BNC connector and the signal conversion board must be kept dry and clean. Improper condition will affect the input impedance and will generates inaccurate measurement.
    If it is damp, it needs to be dried.
  2. It is recommended to use the nylon pillar with the conversion board to fix the signal conversion board. This will allows a certain distance between the signal conversion board and the surface.
  3. Do not touch the sensitive glass bubble with hard material. Any damage or scratches will cause the electrode to fail.
  4. After completing the measurement, disconnect the pH probe from the signal conversion board. The pH probe should not be connected to the signal conversion board without the power supply for a long time.
