The poor man cobbler connector for Raspberry Pi
This connector is compatible with all Raspberry Pi having 40 pins GPIO! This connector is composed of a 2x20 pin header (2.54mm spaced) header and special socket designed for perfboard or permaproto board. The socket takes place in the middle separator of a board and the male pinHeader plugs on the the top of it. From there, is is quite easy to use a GPIO IDC ribbon.
Since IDC cables are very common and standard but a really painful to use with breadboards. This connector offer a cheap hack for prototyping with IDC cable.
It works best when soldered in place. You can use them to prototype on breadboard but it may don't work nicely because of the short socket's pin.
