Extract the power from PoE network with this PoE Splitter - 5V 2.5A - USB C
Power over Ethernet (PoE) splitters can connect any 802.3af-capable router to any Ethernet device even if it doesn't natively support PoE!
The splitter takes a unified PoE signal (data and power) from one RJ-45 cable and separates Ethernet data from the transported power (5 VDC regulated) to make them available in two different lines. So non PoE capable device can also takes the benefits PoE networks.
This option is a economical, high-performance and fully PoE compliant device offering an Isolated 5V 2.4A from PoE network. It act as a splitter and divide power + signal into power USB-C on one side + data on Ethernet plug on the other side.
Basically: Connect Ethernet cable to your PoE switch / PoE hub. On this other side of Ethernet cable connect this splitter to get high quality 5V power supply (up to 2.4 A) & Ethernet.
This works great with Raspberry 4 series and many other devices powered from USB-C. It also works great for microcontroler and nano-computer powered from USB-C and they can still use Ethernet network to communicates.
This device is designed to work with a true 802.af router. If you do not have any PoE Injector / PoE Hub / PoE router then you should consider the usage of a set of passive PoE cable.
Minimum Load required
As many active PoE splitters, a minimum load of 100 mA is required to make it working properly.
This should not be a problem as any Ethernet device usually requires +150mA.
