If you do have project where it is needed to regularly connect/disconnect items, sensors and motors then such connectors would be welcome.
This product is made of a couple of JST connectors (a 2.5mm male connector + 2.5mm female connector) pre-assembled with wires and ready to use. The particularity of such connectors reside in the fact that male pins are not exposed (so no accidental contact) and they also have a clipping system (keyed connector) to firmly secure the connector.
One of the wire does have a small white or grey line (look carefully) which is very useful to identify the polarity of the connector (that ease the wiring's polarity, there is no way to plug the connector in the wrong way).
Those connectors are very convenient in numerous case, they can be used for:
- sensors wiring that needs power wires and several data lines (eg: multiple PIR sensor, muliple sharp sensor, etc.)
- motors wiring (a stepper motor does have 4 wires, sometime up to 6 wires). 2 lignes could be used for limit switch signals.
