Conversion between RP-SMA and SMA
RF adapter are very handy when you are dealing with radio transmission. Depending on the development board and antenna available under the hand you may have an SMA or RP-SMA connector. Unfortunately, RP-SMA and SMA are not compatible! This adapter is a converter with a RP-SMA connector on one side and a SMA connector on the other side.
This adapter would be welcome to connect a 2.4Ghz dipole antenna (Wifi, being RP-SMA) onto a µFL to SMA cable.
It would be a nice tool for Photon, CC3000-uFL module, Vector Network Analyser (NanoVNA), etc.
Check your cable and antenna connector to see if you need an adapter. Check the center of connector (is it a hole or is it a pin?).
If they are not matching then this adapter will do the job to connect them together.
