Description
When you're ready to start a project, the multimeter is one of the first tools you take out of your toolkit. And this one is the second best unprofessional multimeter that I've had in my hands.
To start, this multimeter is able to measure almost anything: it works in alternately and continuously, measuring resistors, diodes. It has a continuity test (with buzzer), measures the capacitance (capacities), the frequency (and even the useful cycle).
That's not all! It's a model that automatically selects the measurement range (auto-ranging), and has a "data-hold" button to temporarily memorize the value. It turns itself off after 15 minutes to save batteries.
It has a PTC fuse that resets automatically, the latter to protect the measuring circuit, so it's never necessary to replace it (on inexpensive models, this fuse is usually welded).
Among the small "extra" very appreciable of this multimeter is its removable shell which protects the multimeter but which, above all, will remind you to turn it off (because it doesn't close if it's not off) and this clever space to wrap and store the test tips.
This multimeter works with two 1.5V alkaline batteries (popular AAA, supplied with the multimeter) - while some inexpensive models use a 12v battery really difficult to find.
It's really a very good tool!
