If you need to make a variety of measurements in your project then this product would make a great job.
For sure, you could use this nice multi-function power meter! It offer a big LCD screen (with back light) that displays voltage, current, power and energy. This wattmeter can be mount on panel (Panel Mount device).
By reading the display, you can check if the voltage is not going too low or the current draw is too high. The wattmeter also calculates the Watts and cumulative Watt-hours. The small reset button can be used to reset the cumulative Watt-hours to 0.
The power meter is powered by the load it measures. Wiring it is quite simple: two wires in, two wires out.
The minimum voltage needed for this device is 6.5V DC. It is not possible to power it externally so it is best suited for higher-voltage projects (microcontrollers usually works with 3.3 or 5V DC).
