MosFet Gate Driver for high-side and low-side N-Channel Mosfet Driver

The LM5109A is a high voltage gate driver designed to drive both the high-side and the low-side N-Channel MOSFETs in a synchronous buck or a half bridge configuration. The floating high-side driver is capable of working with rail voltages up to 90V.

The LM5109A is used to operate power MOSFETs at high switching frequencies gate driver (with reduce switching losses).
Under-voltage lockout is provided on both the low-side and the high-side power rails.

The outputs are independently controlled with TTL compatible input thresholds. So the driver component is used between the MCU PWM output and the MosFet gates and is save to use with 3.3-V logic.

Gate drivers are indispensable because few to none MCU are able to deliver enough switch current to the MosFet gates (for instant switching).

The LM5109A can control N-channel MOSFETs in half-bridge, full-bridge, push-pull, two-switch forward and active clamp topologies.

The outputs are independently controlled. Each channel is controlled by its respective input pins (HI and LI), allowing full and independent flexibility to control ON and OFF-time of the output.

This product is available under SOIC-8 package. You can make it breadboard friendly with an SOIC breakout.
