What is the PI500 ?

The Raspberry 500 is a small technological marvel that embeds a Raspberry-Pi 5 in an official keyboard of the foundation.

By inserting a Raspberry Pi 5, 8GB of RAM under the keyboard and this without depriving us of the peripherals all accessible at the back of the keyboard ... this Raspberry-Pi is a great deal for computer learning, Internet browsing, exploring electronics and - which moreover - is easy to carry.

The fact that the Pi500 is the worthy successor of the Pi400 supporting by Raspberry-Pi OS. This solution remains accessible and benefits from the immense variety of software.

The Pi500 offers the following connections:

• Gigabit Ethernet
• 2x USB 3 (great for Hard Drive and other high speed peripherals)
• 1x USB 2 (the other USB 2 is used for the keyboard)
• 2x port microHDMI
• The GPIO (great for prototyping)
• The MicroSD slot (it is a push-push connector, you will need to push on the SD card to activate the eject mecanism).
• WiFi and Bluetooth as the introduced since Pi3 is still available on the Pi 400, the antenna is placed on the bottom left part of the GPIO.
• A Kensington anti-thief.

The Pi500 also have a On/Off switch directly available on the keyboard.
