Rotary Switch 10 positions

Create a configuration panel or a decade box with this switch

This is a very simple product which offers lot of posibilities! We did purchase them to create our decade resistor box. We wanted a simple product offering good contact  and having 10 positions. We wanted them to be used for years and also with the possibilities of monting them into a box (because a decade resistors is nicer into a case).

So you have a common pin and 10 possibles outputs distribued all around the rotary switch. Depending on the the shaft position, you will activate the position from 1 to 10.

Reducing the number of positions

The good thing about a 10 positions switch is that you can easily reduce it to any lower position. Let's say you only need 5 outputs THEN you connect the outputs 5 to 10 with a single common wire.

This way, you will have the configuration 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5 (damned simple workaround).
