A 4x C-battery pack to power up a 6V project

Make your project transportable by having power pack able to propelling motors. This battery pack accepts 4x C batteries (alkaline or rechargeable).

The benefits of C battery (also named LR14) is its power going up to 8000 mAh where a type A battery can hold from 1200mAh to 2400mAh.

This battery pack does fits a pressure clip as output (like those used on 9V battery) for quick power connexion (see this entry level 9V clip). You can also solder your wires directly on the pressure connexions (just scrap the metal before solder) but do it quick enough to avoids the platic to melt down.

The four batteries are daisy chain connected, so the nominal voltage is 6 volts DC with alkaline batteries (6.4V when they are brand new, 4V when they are discharged).

If you want to use rechargeable batteries, then the nominal voltage will be 4.8 Volts DC (5.2V when they are brand new, 4.4V when they are discharged).

The rechargeable batteries are great for most of the 5V projects. Alkaline batteries will offer a sligthly higher voltage which may be more indicated when using motors with just 4 batteries.

Batteries not included.
