Add Bluetooth BLE feature capability with an USB module

Add Bluetooth functionality to your computer super fast with this BT 4.0 USB adapter. This adapter is backwards compatible with v2.1 and previous but also supports the latest version 4.0 Bluetooth Low Energy. This adapter contains a USB host Bluetooth module CSR8510

This module is used successfully on Windows 7, installed as a 'generic' Bluetooth device. It should normally work with all modern computer since this chipset is very widespread. Until this day, this module has been tested to communicate with Bluetooth Data modules. This module has been selected as part of the electronic hacking activities.

Be aware that these modules share a limited set of MAC addresses, so you could get several with the same MAC address. This means that, in this case, you couldn't use two of these modules in the same room/computer because they will face many collisions of RF data.
That being said, most people only need one module per computer.

The drivers for the CSR Bluetooth modules are included in Windows XP/7/8, so there is no need to install or download additional software to use it. Other Bluetooth drivers/batteries such as BlueSoleil are not so good as the Windows Bluetooth battery, which can cause many problems. Simply plug in and let Windows automatically install its BT drivers! Linux users can use Bluez which works very well, see this tutorial for Raspberry Pi
