ESP32-H2 RISC-V  development board for WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Thread, MQTT, etc

The ESP32-H2 is a WiFi (802.15.4) and Bluetooth 5 (LE) plateform developed with a Low Power consumption.
Accordingly to Espressif datasheet, the ESP32-H2 Bluetooth support includes BLE 5.3 (certified), Bluetooth Mesh, Bluetooth LE Long Range, Bluetooth LE High Speed (2 Mbps).
The ESP32-H2 also includes the support for Thread 1.3, Zigbee 3.0, Matter, HomeKit, MQTT

This SoC features a 32 bits RISC-V single core clocked at 96 MHz with 320 Kio SRAM (16 Kio cache) along with 128 Kio ROM. The SoC also include 4 Kio of LP memory (Low Power Memory) and 4 Mio of embedded Flash memory (H2-Mini-1).

The board also expose 2 USB-C connectors: the first one is connected to an USB-to-Serial converted connected to the ESP32. It is used to program and debug your project. The second USB-C is connected directly to the ESP32 allowing to ESP32 to offers additional USB service.

As microcontroler, the ESP32-H2 expose 19 GPIOs with support for ADC, SPI, UART, I2C, I2S (sound), RMT (Remote Control Transceiver), GDMA (General Direct Memory Access) and LED PWN.

The Microcontroler also expose two useful connectors:

  • Qwiic/StemmaQT: a 4 pins connector carry an I2C bus and power. This popular connectivity is supported by Adafruit Industries and Sparkfun Electronic. Sensor can quickly be connected
  • pUEXT: the compact version of Olimex UEXT connector. This one carry I2C, SPI, UART buses together with power. UEXT is a very neat connector technology (we love it at MCHobby). A large UEXT product range is available at UEXT @ MCHobby and UEXT @ Olimex.

Can be programmed with Espressif ESP-IDF or with Arduino (see user manual).
