An OLED I2C display - publish useful info from your Pi
Here is the most compact OLED display for your Raspberry Pi (most likely a Pi Zero) project. This display may just be the display you need!
The Adafruit 128x32 PiOLED is your little OLED friend, ready to snap onto any kind of Raspberry Pi, offering an useful little display. The PiOLED comes assembled with a monochrome 128x32 OLED (white pixels). This OLED only use I2C pins so you have plenty of GPIO still available for buttons, LEDs, sensors, etc. It is compact enough to fit into any case.
The display offer about 1" diagonal which is very small but is very readable (thanks to the high contrast). This screen is made of 128x32 individual white OLED pixels. There is no backlight needed because the display makes its own light. This reduces the power required to run the OLED and is also the reason ensuring a such high contrast!
Using the display is very easy. Adafruit provides a Python library for the SSD1306 chipset. The example code draws images, text or whatever you like (by using the Python imaging library). It has been tested up to 30 FPS so you can do little animations or basic video.
