Affordable and easy to use pH meter
If you need to check the pH (acidity) of water to evaluate its quality, this product is what you are looking for! The pH sensor have an accuracy of +/- 0.1 pH @ 25°C offering a great accuracy for hobbyist for an affordable price. Such sensor can be use for aquaculture, water quality testing, rainwater tank monitoring, fish tank monitoring or biorobotic testing projects.
This product is also great to organise chimistry class around alkalin, acids, sensor calibration.
At the opposite of the competitor products, this pH sensor has been designed to be easy to use with your Arduino. This pH meter is powered with 5V power supply.
What's make this product in unique are:

The board expose a LED Power Indicator, a BNC connector for the pH sensor and the PH2.0 board interface. To use it, just plug the pH sensor on the board's BNC connector and plug the PH2.0 interface board into an analog input pin of your MicroControler (Eg: Arduino). If you already programmed your Arduino with the Arduino program then you are ready to read the pH value.
A small recap about pH:
- 0 to <7 : are acids solution. Eg: vinegar & sparkle water (ph 3) , coffee, tomato juice, lemon juice (pH 2)
- 7 : neutralized water (the reference)
- >7 to 17: alkalin solution. Eg: Pool water (pH 7.3), Soap (ph 10), amoniacal cleaning products (11 pH)

Laboratory material
Please note that it is a laboratorial probe, it can't be immersed in the liquid for too long time.
Manipulate the sensor with caution, the glass bead at the bottom of the sensor is very fragile.
To ensure the pH probe accuracy, you will need to use a standard solution to calibrate it regularly (every 6 month for standard usage). The measure of pH in dirty solution will require a more frequent calibration (see details of the "Step to use the pH Meter" on this Wiki page).
After each use, the sensor must be neutralised into Demineralized Water and dried with residue-free paper (so no cotton, no paper towels)
pH accuracy & calibration:
The pH measurement range on this product is very wide and the accuracy is reasonnably good over the whole range. However, there are no miracle, if the sensor is calibrated with an acid solution (eg: Ph 4) then the accuracy will be best from pH 7 to acid's pH (going to pH 0) and less precise for alkalin measurement (but still quite good regarding the overall range).
