IQAudio, the full-HD audio 2x35W amplified board for Raspberry-Pi

The IQaudIO Pi-DigiAMP+ is the Full-HD (192/24) HiFi quality DAC & up to 2x35w Class D amplifier for the Raspberry Pi. No need to solder it, just plug it on the Raspberry-Pi GPIO and enjoy crystal clear amplified sound output.

The IQAudio board is used to turn your Raspberry Pi into a standalone Hi-Fi system. You can also use it as basis for retro radio restoration, create a custom a boombox, a car audio player or to create an infotainment/kiosk solution.

The IQAudio is designed to deliver the best audio performance for the Raspberry Pi and still offers access to several GPIOs of the Raspberry-Pi to append a IR receiver, Rotary Encoder or i2c devices like OLED screens.

The TAS5756m chipset from Texas Instruments is used to deliver incredible audio performance. The Linux driver support is already built-in to Raspberry-Pi OS (it uses the same device drivers as the Pi-DAC+) and is supported by many software (including audio packages) like Volumio / Moode / PiCorePlayer / PiMusicBox / OpenELEC and others.

The IQaudIO Pi-DigiAMP+ easily supports 24-bit / 192kHz file formats but will also manage the lower quality MP3. The Audio digital data is transfer via the I2S interface (available on the GPIO) wich reduces the CPU load over USB audio solutions.

Please note that The Pi-DigiAMP+ uses GPIO22 as mute for the amplifier. When powered up, the mute state is activated (the Mute LED is lit). See the user documentation for more information. Many software releases already support the Pi-AMP+ in the right way.

Which power supply?

This amplifier does perfectly work with a 19V Laptop power supply. Best result with a 65W PSU (19V @ 3.5A). The DigiAmp plus required a power supply from 12 to 24V DC. The polarity MUST BE OBSERVED!

This should have a 5.5mm Barrel Jack connector (positive center). Internal diameter 2.5mm .

DigiAMP+ has been designed to provide power to the Raspberry Pi-plus-DigiAMP+ combination in parallel, delivering 5.1V @ 2.5A to your Raspberry Pi.

DO NOT APPLY POWER TO RASPBERRY Pi'S OWN POWER INPUT WHEN USING DigiAMP+.
