This Spy Camera for Raspberry Pi Zero would be the perfect companion for your Raspberry-Pi Zero. This combination would offers a compact solution for monitoring a given area. Smaller than a thumbnail this camera have a high enough resolution to see people, kids, animals, ghosts, or whatever it is you're looking for. The size is similar to a cell phone camera (the module being 8.6mm x 8.6mm), the lens is a bit bigger because of the large angle of view offered (160°). Thanks to the 4cm ribbon cable, you can embed the PiZero into an objet letting only the lens visible to take the pictures (a nice homemade spy cam).
This Zero Spy Camera have a 160° focal angle acting like a fisheye lens (very wide angle capture, distorted like a fish eye). Fisheye lenses are very common un security systems roadway.
Like the Raspberry Pi Camera Board, it attaches to your Raspberry Pi Zero v1.3 or Zero W by way of the small socket on the board's edge closest to the power port (PWR). It is the CSI interface used to transmit the pixels data at extremely high data rates speed (CSI have been designed for that purpose).
The CSI bus is connected directly to the SOC, which ensure the higher transfert rate required for picture transmission. The CSI bus travels along the ribbon from the camera to the Pi. The sensor itself has a native resolution of 5 megapixels and has a fixed focus lens onboard. The camera resolution is similar to the Pi Camera v2!
