MC Hobby distributes the Raspberry Pi A+ 512MB RAM, Model A.
This new version (limited edition) has 2x more RAM than the previous one.
The Raspberry-Pi is a computer developed on a simple card by the Raspberry-Pi Foundation located in England. The intention of the Foundation is to stimulate basic computer science education in schools. The design is based on Broadcom's SoC BCM2835 component (SoC stands for System on a Chip) running at 700MHz with 256Mb 512 Mb of RAM. The design doesn't include a hard drive or SSD on the platform but instead relies on an SD card to boot the operating system and for long-term storage.
This card contains a USB port, an HDMI port and the 40-pin GPIO. This A+ version of the Raspberry-Pi is best known for being very energy efficient but has no network support.
Like all modern computers, the Raspberry-Pi is compatible with generic USB keyboards and mouse. The Raspberry-Pi A+ uses an operating system based on a Linux kernel. The Raspberry-Pi doesn't have a real time clock on the card, so the operating system must use a "Time Server" accessible via the network (WiFi) or ask the date and time to the user at the time boot.
This information is important to have a correct time stamp on the various files.
It is nevertheless possible to easily add a real time clock equipped with a battery (eg the DS1307) by using the I2C interface.

Warning:
Requires an SD card supporting the OS of your choice (see tutorial section).
A 2 GB card is not enough, MC Hobby propose you a blank 4 GB SD card or carte 8 GB SD card
If you want to turn your Pi into a portable platform, our 5000mAh battery specially selected to produce the amp needed to run your Raspberry. Its capacity of 5000mAh also allows operation of several hours.
The Pi A+ has only one USB port. It can be really drastic. You can opt for a 7-port USB hub or this extension USB hub + Ethernet (already compatible with the Pi Zero)
