Description
MakerBeam is an Open-Source construction system based on T-shaped ALU profiles called "Mini-T". The Mini-T is a miniature version of T-Slot (a technology widely used in robotics, industrial automation and machine protection).
Not only is it small enough to design a "reduced model" system but it is robust and precise enough to design real robots and machines.
It consists of extruded aluminum square profiles (10mm), various connectors and the necessary material to build everything you want.
All you need is an idea and an M3 key (in the form of a screwdriver, it's more efficient).
MakerBeam is a profile of 10mm x 10mm, if you are looking for a wider profile, we also propose OpenBeam in 15mm x 15mm.
This kit is really amazing, there is absolutely no limit to what you can achieve with it. It is possible to mount motors directly on it. It is even possible to directly mount a servo motor (SG5010) on the profile and/or on the brackets supplied.
MakerBeam is Open-Source, so you have the specification (see makerbeam website) to create your own parts allowing you to interconnect your own parts with the standard mini-T, or even extend the possibilities of MakerBeam.
