Description

For the best of both worlds, the Raspberry-Pi B (or B PLUS) on one hand and a computer monitor on the other, Here is a cable converter HDMI -> DVI-D (DVI Digital).
With this cable, you can use a Raspberry-Pi on a monitor with a DVI-D connector (all recent monitors have them).

HDMI to DVI-D cable for Raspberry

If the Raspberry has an RCA plug, the display on a standard television is not really ideal to display the development environment.

Then, everyone does not have a High Definition TV... and again, if a TV is suitable for running a specific application on Raspberry, it is not the ideal interface to use graphic environment and development (simple common sense).

Then there are the computer monitors:

Raspberry does not have a VGA interface and VGA converters are excessively expensive (around 80 EUR).

On the other hand, all the recent monitors have a digital DVI socket (corresponds to the biggest on our image). This standard is fully compatible with the HDMI standard... How lucky!, Raspberry has an HDMI port!

We tested this cable with a Raspberry on an HP monitor.
After testing with the RCA plug, the result with this HDMI -> DVI cable is literally bleeding. Better resolution, better image quality, clear image... that happiness.
